Indiefest is announcing an open call competition to find the freshest and coolest artists to include in the line up of Tartu Indiefest 2017. This is your chance to knock on the music industry’s door and perform on the stage of the most eagerly expected music festival in Tartu.
To apply, upload at least two recordings of your music to any music sharing medium and fill in the form here.
The applying process is open until the 15th of March.
Terms and Conditions:
1. There are up to five spots reserved in the festival line up, to which anyone can apply. On the 20th of May, the main day of the festival, the artists chosen from the open call competitions will perform with acoustic concert alongside the festival’s headliners on the Park Stage that is located on the festival grounds in the park next to Tartu Creative Centre on Kalevi street.
2. The winners of the competition will be chosen by the organising team of Tartu Indiefest 2017.
3. Both single performers and bands can apply. It is not important which genre your music falls into, because among other aspects, the fitting into the festival’s main line-up will be considered when choosing the performers.
a. Everyone can apply, including bands from outside of Estonia. The number of members in a band is not limited.
b. If chosen, your performance will take plane on May 20th between 15.00 and 23.00 and the soundcheck between 9.00 and 15.00.
c. The festival will provide amplification through PA-systems, the artist must bring all necessary instruments and additional technical devices that they want to use in the performance.
d. The chosen artists must perform their original work.
4. To apply, you should fill out the form at indiefest.eu website before midnight of the 15th of March 2017.
a. On the application you must include at least two recordings of your music, uploaded online (youtube, Soundcloud, Spotify etc).
b. By submitting the application you validate all data provided in the application and your right to represent the performer. By submitting the form you give Tartu Indiefest permission to use the publicly usable information to promote the festival and the performer. By submitting the application you confirm that you are able and open to perform on the 21th of May 2016.
5. Transport costs up to 30 euros will be covered per artist, based on original cheques.
6. Artists that are chosen to perform will be notified within a week after the contest has ended.
a. Tartu Indiefest will sign contracts with every chosen artist.
